Storehouse Food Ministry
by the Mid-State Baptist Association
How You Or Your Church Can Help:
Help pack boxes. Send a group of adults, students and children to pack boxes once or several times a year.
Becoming a church that regularly contributes to Storehouse Ministries. Once a quarter, ask your members to bring a donation of canned goods. Consider giving a donation every month from your budget.
Prayer Counselors. Send one person or several people on a Tuesday to be a counselor. You will greet people and pray with them before you help them with the food they need.
More pantry churches. Please prayerfully consider whether your church could fill this need. Call Tosha Skelton at Storehouse Ministries for a full explanation of this important ministry role, 478-750-9114.
Volunteers of all ages. We need volunteers of all ages-- from the retired to the elementary school child (supervised by adults), this is a way for everyone to become involved in a mission that feeds the needy, shares the Word of God and shows the love of Christ. Tosha Skelton, Storehouse Director, encourages leaders of RAs and GAs, Youth Groups and adults to schedule a time to bring their students to do a mission project at Storehouse.

Storehouse Ministries
Storehouse Ministries is available to partner with all the churches in the Mid-State Baptist Association. Thank you for supporting the Mid-State Baptist Association and our Storehouse food ministry! Every year we give away about 2,000 boxes of food and pray with many families.
How are donations used in this ministry?
When you give financially to Storehouse, your dollar supports every part of what it takes for this ministry to keep going - cans of vegetables and fruit, frozen meat, canned meat, canned soup, rice, pasta, dried beans, boxes, tape, file folders, copier and paper, cell phone, truck transportation, gasoline, dumpster, pest control, insurance, and misc. supplies. See the pictures below to see all the stages of Storehouse ministry each week.
The salary of the Storehouse Director
The Storehouse Directors' salary is paid by the Mid-State Baptist Association general fund not Storehouse donations. If Storehouse funding ever grew large enough to provide support for the Storehouse Director salary, the Board of Directors could decide to do so. This has not been done in the past, and is not anticipated.
How would funds be used if the Storehouse ministry closed someday?
We believe Storehouse is needed and is being used to make a difference in Macon, but If Storehouse ministry ever ceased to operate, then remaining funds are sent to the Association general fund to continue the overall ministry work of the Mid-State Baptist Association.
